HYAL Code of Conduct
The Hazlet Youth Athletic League (HYAL) is dedicated to creating a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all participants. To maintain the integrity of our programs, we expect all coaches, players, parents, and spectators to adhere to the following Code of Conduct during any HYAL game, match, practice, or event.
Expected Behavior
All participants are expected to:

Conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and orderly manner at all times.

Demonstrate good sportsmanship toward all players, coaches, officials, spectators, and HYAL volunteers.

Encourage youth athletes in a positive and supportive way, regardless of the outcome of the game or match.

Help foster an environment that is inclusive, safe, and focused on player development and enjoyment.
Unacceptable Behavior
The following actions are strictly prohibited:

Physical violence or assault of any kind

Verbal abuse, including yelling, cursing, or use of derogatory language

Threatening or intimidating behavior toward players, coaches, officials, spectators, or HYAL volunteers

Any form of harassment or disrespectful conduct
Disciplinary Action
Violations of this Code of Conduct will be taken seriously. Individuals found in violation may be subject to one or more of the following penalties:

Suspension for one game or match

Suspension for the remainder of the season

Suspension for one calendar year

Permanent ban from all HYAL activities and events
All official complaints will be reviewed by the HYAL Disciplinary Board, which will determine the appropriate course of action based on the severity and nature of the violation.

HYAL is a volunteer-based organization built on community values, teamwork, and mutual respect. Everyone involved plays a role in creating a safe and enjoyable experience for the youth of Hazlet.
