We are excited to announce the schedule for our upcoming Fall Softball Clinics!
These sessions offer a great opportunity for players to build their skills and prepare for the upcoming season.

Clinic Dates:

• Wednesday, September 10
•  Monday, September 15
• Wednesday, September 17
• Monday, September 22
• Wednesday, September 24
• Monday, September 29
•  Wednesday, October 1

Time: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Location: Top 60 Softball Field

Important Parking Note:  Please park in the Hazlet Train Station parking lot when attending clinics at the Top 60 Field.
We encourage all players to attend as many sessions as possible. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

HYAL Code of Conduct

The Hazlet Youth Athletic League (HYAL) is dedicated to creating a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all participants. To maintain the integrity of our programs, we expect all coaches, players, parents, and spectators to adhere to the following Code of Conduct during any HYAL game, match, practice, or event.

Expected Behavior

All participants are expected to:

• Conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and orderly manner at all times.

• Demonstrate good sportsmanship toward all players, coaches, officials, spectators, and HYAL volunteers.

• Encourage youth athletes in a positive and supportive way, regardless of the outcome of the game or match.

• Help foster an environment that is inclusive, safe, and focused on player development and enjoyment.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

• Physical violence or assault of any kind

• Verbal abuse, including yelling, cursing, or use of derogatory language

• Threatening or intimidating behavior toward players, coaches, officials, spectators, or HYAL volunteers

• Any form of harassment or disrespectful conduct

Disciplinary Action

Violations of this Code of Conduct will be taken seriously. Individuals found in violation may be subject to one or more of the following penalties:

• Suspension for one game or match

• Suspension for the remainder of the season

• Suspension for one calendar year

• Permanent ban from all HYAL activities and events

All official complaints will be reviewed by the HYAL Disciplinary Board, which will determine the appropriate course of action based on the severity and nature of the violation.

Our Shared Responsibility

HYAL is a volunteer-based organization built on community values, teamwork, and mutual respect. Everyone involved plays a role in creating a safe and enjoyable experience for the youth of Hazlet.

Important Notice for Baseball & Softball Parents, Families, and Spectators

To ensure the safety of all participants and to comply with insurance requirements, please be advised of the following rules and expectations during games at the HYAL Complex:

Field Access Policy

• Only Players and Coaches are permitted on the fields, in the dugouts, and on the sidelines.

• All Spectators must remain in the bleachers or on the blacktop paved areas located between the following fields:

  Mueller (West)
  Coutu (East)
  Hildner (T-ball)

This policy is in place for everyone's safety — especially the kids.

Code of Conduct Reminder

We ask all families and spectators to keep the following in mind:

• These are kids.

• This is a game.

• Coaches are volunteers.

• Officials are human — and many are youth themselves.

• Most importantly: The kids are here to have fun!
